SY 2014-15 Program Goals

1. Collaboratively design and implement projects/lessons relevant to Common Core Standards, classroom content and student information needs.

2. Implement collection development plan for SY 2014-2015: Major area - Easy collection; Minor area - 800s literature (poetry).

3. Support school-wide reading program, balanced literacy and leadership initiatives.

4. Access and promote use of Web2.0 tools through local technology staff development opportunities.

5. Provide student leadership opportunities in information technology.

Long Term Program Goals

1. Promote information technology literacy through learning experiences that encourage students to research, evaluate and create information.

2. Integrate information technology across the Common Core disciplines to support students with skills needed to use technology and digital media strategically and capably.

3. Provide a collaborative environment that supports 21st century learners who develop leadership skills through seeking diverse perspectives, gathering and using information ethically, and using social tools responsibly and safely.
